The Project Management Professional is the workhorse credential, and the one civilian hiring software actually screens for. Here is who it is for, whether you qualify, and exactly what you walk away with.
PMP is the certification most employers ask for by name, and the right target for most people. If you have led projects, taskers, or teams for a few years, you likely already qualify. Newer to it? CAPM is your starting point. Working in agile? PMI-ACP adds that specialty. Running whole programs? That is PgMP.

Working professionals, NCOs and SNCOs, veterans, and career-changers who have led projects and want the credential that opens doors. In practice, if you have led projects, taskers, or suspenses for three or more years, PMP is your cert. For a lot of mid-career professionals, that bar is already met.
PMP requires experience leading projects within the last 10 years, plus 35 hours of project management training (which this boot camp provides). The experience needed depends on your education:
- 3 years with a bachelor's degree
- 4 years with an associate's or vocational / trade school diploma
- 5 years with a high school diploma or GED
- 2 years with a degree from a PMI GAC-accredited program

What test day looks like.
- Format: 180 questions over 230 minutes, delivered by Pearson VUE (on-base testing centers available for military members)
- Exam fee: $425 for PMI members, $675 for non-members, paid to PMI and separate from your tuition
- Retake support: if you do not pass the first time, we get you ready to go again
PMP is fundable through AF COOL (Air Force and Space Force), Army CA, and your unit's GPC, and the GI Bill reimburses the exam fee.
